Reigate and Banstead’s mayor is calling on golfers to join him at a charity match in aid of Surrey Air Ambulance next week.
The fundraising tournament will take place at Reigate Hill Golf Club on Thursday, May 10th, teeing off at 1.30pm, and will be followed by a three-course dinner, raffle and auction.
Fifteen teams of four have entered but places are available for another 20 players to fill the 18-hole course.
Funds raised on the day will go to Surrey Air Ambulance which receives no statutory government funding and relies almost entirely on public donations.
Mayor, Cllr Brian Stead, said: “If you were to ask any one of the countless people they have had a hand in saving, or indeed their families, they too would say how vital it is that we support them.
“Please join me at the event. Tickets are on sale now and even if you don’t play golf, you could always come for the dinner.”
The match is open to men and women and there will be prizes for teams and individuals.
Team entry costs £200 and supporters can buy tickets for just the dinner at £25 each. For more information call the Mayor’s office on 01737 243051
