A James Bond-themed gala dinner dance, casino and auction at Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa raised almost £4,000 for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.
The hotel presented a Diamonds are Forever gala dinner last month, featuring award-winning close-up magician Etienne Pradier and Rat Pack-style singer Martin Croons.
Etienne has performed to audiences including royalty, Prime Minister David Cameron, Johnny Depp, Pierce Brosnan, Lulu and Jamie Oliver.
There was also a cocktail drinks reception followed by a five-course dinner, casino tables, an auction and a dance hosted by Dover Marina’s resident DJ.
Hotel Manager Anoob Saban and Events Manager Jane Ivor-Jones visited the Air Ambulance base at Marden last week (November 16th) to present a cheque for £3,989.
Jane said: “We were delighted to be able to help such an outstanding charity. Seeing the helicopter and chatting to the amazingly dedicated and professional staff made us realise even more what an important service it is that they provide.
“Everyone really enjoyed themselves on the night and we were thrilled with the total raised and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event.”
