The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance is hosting an open evening on Thursday 14th November where you can meet the team and find out about the work of the life-saving charity. The free event is open to the public and will be held at the Holiday Inn in Wrotham starting at 7pm.
Presentations from the Chairman, Chief Executive and clinical leads from the charity will talk about service development, patient outcomes and operating at night.
Dr Malcolm Russell, Medical Director for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, said: “With medicine and technology always developing rapidly, our Charity has kept right at the forefront and this year has been particularly exciting. Come along and hear how we’ve brought blood transfusion to the roadside and transformed into a 24-hour operation in order to reach even more sick and injured patients in our community.”
Every day the air ambulance’s specialist medical teams respond to an average of six calls taking advanced pre-hospital care directly to seriously ill and injured patients.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to meet some of the pilots, doctors and critical care paramedics from the Air Ambulance.
If you would like to come along to open evening and find out more about the vital work or your air ambulance please email Jill Playle at firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 01622 833833.
