Former Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison will be the special guest at a Glitz and Glamour Gala Dinner in aid of Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance next week.

Cheryl, who played Heather Trott, will attend the black tie event at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel at Hollingbourne on Thursday (October 29th).

Plus-sized fashion store Taking Shape in Maidstone chose to support the air ambulance after Area Manager Kerry Gill’s uncle was airlifted following a road traffic accident.

Cheryl said: “I’m delighted to be attending the dinner on behalf of Taking Shape who I have formed a great relationship with. The clothes and colours are amazing, the service is something a curvy lady wouldn’t get anywhere else and it’s just so welcoming.

“The air ambulance is a very worthy cause close to Kerry’s heart because of her personal connection to the charity and I’m looking forward to giving my support on the night.”

The dinner starts with a reception at 7pm and includes a three-course meal, wine and a raffle in aid of the Marden-based helicopter which relies almost entirely on donations.

There will also be live music and a DJ until 12.30am. For tickets, which cost £45, please call Taking Shape Maidstone on 01622 673152.
