A record number of teams helped raised a grand total of £742 for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance at a quiz night in Horam on Friday (October 23rd).
More than 100 players took part in “Trevor’s Charity Quiz” at the Village Hall with 10 rounds of eight questions and a picture round.
They were stumped by questions including the name of the air ambulance in Australia, the Flying Doctors, and there was a wooden spoon prize of doughtnuts for the losers.
Organiser Trevor Cornford said: “Thank you to all who came and supported the quiz, and to all who worked hard behind the scenes to make it so enjoyable to put on.
“We raised a very impressive £742 for the air ambulance which is a fantastic total so well done to everyone.”
The funds were raised from the quiz night, a Ploughmans buffet, a raffle and a ‘guess the weight of the pumpkin’ competition.
Trevor presented the funds to an air ambulance representative who thanked the teams for their support for the charity which relies almost entirely on donations and this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Now in its fifth year, Trevor’s annual quiz night has previously raised funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
