Runners are being encouraged to sign up for the 2017 Surrey Half Marathon in aid of the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance.

The charity has 50 free places available, presenting a fantastic opportunity for those who want to triumph a personal achievement, whilst raising funds to help the charity continue its life-saving work.

Next year's event includes a new 5km run and a children's 2km fun run alongside the half marathon, meaning there is something for people of all ages to get involved in!

Challenge Events Manager for the charity, Steph Holgado, said: "We are a charity relying almost entirely on donations, so events such as the Surrey Half Marathon are absolutely vital in ensuring we can continue to help the most critically ill and injured patients in the region.

"Taking on a challenge event such as the Surrey Half Marathon, coupled with raising funds for such a good cause, is a fantastic achievement – so get in touch today to secure your place and join our team! We will support you all the way, and be there on the day to cheer you on and congratulate you at the finish line!"

The half marathon is set in the scenic country roads surrounding Woking and Guildford, and is a great event for experienced and first time runners.

Steph was joined by runners, organisers and the Deputy Mayor of Woking at the launch of the Surrey Half Marathon at Woking Leisure Centre earlier this month (14th September).

Thousands of runners are expected to take to the streets on 12th March 2017, with more than 500 signed up so far.

To register for the event with the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance or for more information, get in touch with Steph Holgado on 01622 833833, or email teamkssaat@kssairambulance.org.uk
